About Ray

Part pied piper, part Renaissance man, Ray Reiss brings a colorful presence to his B&B. A photographer, book author, collector, cooking and birding enthusiast, Ray worked as a successful commercial photographer for more than 25 years, for which he traveled to more than 50 countries. In 1995, he wrote Red Wing Art Pottery, a book that has become the standard for Red Wing art pottery collectors. He also wrote two other books, Red Wing Dinnerware Price and Identification Guide and Red Wing Art Pottery Two.

His passion for collecting is evident throughout his eclectic building; different areas are decorated with his various collections such as Red Wing Art Pottery, cameras, PEZ dispensers, shoe trees, cake breakers, old crockery and jugs (including an antique still), and Red Wing Dinnerware.
